It has
been a long time since our last blog entry. We have had some memorable moments:
- Setting off to finish our
circumnavigation in CanKata
- Cancelling our circumnavigation after unseasonal storms
- Visiting Canada for two months
- Listing CanKata for sale
- Finding a new owner for CanKata (he takes possession in November)
- Becoming landlubbers again - in Thailand
We are
thoroughly enjoying settling into our new place in Nai Yang, Phuket. We find it
is nearly a full-time job trying to learn the Thai language and culture. Of
course we find plenty of time for chess, Sudoku, swimming, movies and eating. And I
hope to find time in the future to post more blogs with stories and photos of
our adventures in Thailand. In the meantime, here are some catch-up photos:

End of 2013: Our new bikes from Malaysia waiting to go ashore in Nai Yang |

We made it back to Thailand in time for Christmas 2013
and had dinner on the beach |

It was nice to get back to the clear, calm waters of Nai Yang Bay |

Life quickly got back to normal - e.g. doing laundry |
 |
and walking the beach |

This strange contraption is no longer allowed |

When the 2014 monsoon season arrived, we took CanKata to Ao Po Marina
and became landlubbers |
 |
Darrel bought a Honda PCX to scoot around in |

Monsoon season |

Mango season! They make great shakes. |

Not much swimming when the monsoons kick in |
 |
We gave away the microwave and got a convection oven.
Yum - homemade lasagna. |

The thrice-weekly market is just around the corner from us |
 |
We bought some comfy chairs |
 |
A cheap beach ball is providing hours of pool fun |
 |
A $1 chess set from India keeps us occupied for hours |
 |
I'm not keen on motorcycles, so we got a car |
 |
While Darrel tends to CanKata, I cycle |
 |
Yum ... and so affordable! |
Our adventures on land continue. Life is good. L&D xx
